Sandra Smith

Sandra Smith, 79, died on March 24, 2022, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City.

S h e was born on March 23, 1943, in Garden City, the daughter of Harold and Evelyn (Morgan) Barker.

A resident of Scott City since 1974, moving from Garden City, she was a homemaker and house cleaner.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City.

On July 20, 1962, she married James Richard “Dick” Smith in Garden City. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Tish Burnett and husband, Bryan, Scott City; one son, Tony Gray and wife, Dominique, Mauriceville, Tex.; three sisters, Ginger Toben, Marquette, Dorothy Huff, Branson, Mo., and Brenda Barker, Greeley, Colo.; five grandchildren, Devyn Jones, Brynna Burnett, Isabella, Caleb and Milena Gray; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Vicky Gray; and several brothers and sisters.

A memorial service was held March 29 at the First Baptist Church in Scott City with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.

Inurnment will be held at a later date.
